The present writ petition is filed by the petitioner under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, seeking to declare the action of the respondents in not taking action to denotify the land in S.No.363/A admeasuring Ac.0.05 cents of Velugode Village, as illegal and arbitrary. 2.
It is stated in the affidavit that the petitioner is the owner of the property in question and when he proposed to sell the subject property, the Sub-Registrar informed him that the said property is kept in the list of prohibited properties. On the representation made by the petitioner, the 2nd respondent directed the 3rd respondent to submit a report. Though the Tahsildar and the Executive Officer, Group temples, informed that the subject land is a patta land, so far respondents Nos.4 and 5 have not taken any action for deletion of the subject land from the list of endowment lands.

While arguing the matter, the learned Counsel for the petitioner submitted that the 2nd respondent has already addressed a letter to respondents Nos.3 and 5 on 27.5.2016 seeking clarification from them regarding the status of S.No.363/A, which is now the subject matter of this writ petition. Till date, respondents Nos.3 and 5 have not given any reply to the said letter of the 2nd respondent, and in view of the same, the petitioner is put to hardship. It is further submitted that only on the basis of the reply of respondents Nos.3 and 5, the 2nd respondent can take a decision. Therefore, the petitioner prays to direct respondents Nos.3 and 5 to give reply to the letter dated 27.5.2016 of the 2nd respondent.

Considering the facts and circumstances of the case and the grievance of the petitioner, the Writ Petition is disposed of with the following direction:
"Respondents Nos.3 and 5 are directed to give reply to the letter addressed by the 2nd respondent on 27.5.2016, within a period of one month from the date of receipt of a copy of this order."
No costs. Consequently, miscellaneous petitions pending, if any, shall stand closed.
