THE HONOURABLE SRI JUSTICE RAJA ELANGO WRIT PETITION No.38225 of 2016 ORDER:

This writ petition is filed seeking to call for the records in Crime No.204 of 2016 and to quash the same.

Heard and perused the material available on record. The case of the petitioner is that the 4th respondent made a complaint before the 3rd respondent on 15.10.2016 alleging that her marriage was performed with the petitioner on 19.05.2002 and from 2002 to 2008, they both lived at Kakinada and thereafter, the petitioner and his family members are harassing the 4th respondent for want of additional dowry. The main grievance of the petitioner is that the 3rd respondent is calling the petitioner and his family members to the police station and trying to arrest the petitioner.

Considering the grievance of the petitioner, the 3rd respondent is directed to complete the investigation in Crime No.204 of 2016, as expeditiously as possible and file a final report, if any, either way in accordance with law, without arresting the petitioner.
