HONOURABLE SRI JUSTICE SANJAY KUMAR WRIT PETITION No.8197 of 2014 ORDER:

The grievance of the petitioner is that the Revenue Divisional Officer, Siddipet Revenue Division, Medak District, respondent No.2, did not dispose of his appeal despite taking it on file as Appeal No.D/309/2014.

Though the matter was adjourned to enable the learned Assistant Government Pleader for Revenue, State of Telangana, to get instructions, he states that no instructions have been furnished to him till date.

The record reflects that the appeal was filed by the petitioner before respondent No.2 as long back as on 07.01.2014. If respondent No.2 deemed it appropriate to take on file the said appeal, it is not open to him to keep the same pending indefinitely. The Writ Petition is accordingly disposed of directing respondent No.2 to dispose of Appeal No.D/309/2014 filed by the petitioner expeditiously and in any event, not later than four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, if not already disposed of.
