In this writ petition, the petitioner is aggrieved by the action of the respondents in not paying the Statutory Exgratia to her for the death of her husband - late Saidu Meera due to the electric shock as per the Departmental Policy of the respondents - Southern Power Distribution Company of A.P. Limited (APSPDCL), issued vide S.O.O.

(CGM-HRD) Rt.No.761, dated 26.10.2013, read with orders of the A.P. Electricity Regulatory Commission, Hyderabad, issued in proceedings No.APERC/Secy/EAS/S-101/177/2013, dated 13.08.2013, even after a lapse of more than three years, as arbitrary and illegal.

Heard Sri P. Raghavendra Rao, learned counsel for the petitioner, as well as Ms. J. Koteswari Devi, learned Standing Counsel, appearing for the respondents - APSPDCL and perused the material on record.

According to the petitioner, her husband - late Saidu Meera, s/o. Alli Saheb, met with a fatal electrical accident on 15.10.2013 and died instantly due to the said electric shock, while carrying cotton bales in the agricultural fields.

The material available on record discloses that for redressal of her grievance, though the petitioner has submitted a representation dated 31.03.2016 to the respondents, no action has been taken till date. 5.

Having heard learned counsel for the respective parties, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, this Court deems it appropriate to dispose of the writ petition directing the respondents to consider the representation dated 31.03.2016 submitted by the petitioner and pass appropriate orders in accordance with law within a period of two months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 6.

As a sequel, Miscellaneous Petitions pending consideration, if any, in the Writ Petition shall stand closed. No order as to costs.
