With the consent of the learned counsel for the petitioners, learned Government Pleader for Municipal Administration for the 1st respondent, the learned Standing Counsel for the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation for respondents 2 and 3 and the learned Standing Counsel for Hyderabad

Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewage Board for the 4th respondent, this writ petition is disposed of at the admission stage.

2. The first petitioner is a registered Weakers Welfare Association of Raghavendra Colony and petitioners 2 to 27 are residents of the colony. The grievance of the petitioners is that about 500 poor labourers belonging to the weaker section live in the society. The colony do not have the basic amenities for decent living. There is no proper drainage facility available, no drinking water facility and no proper roads. The open drainage and not maintaining the colony properly results in spread of communicable diseases and cause lot of hardship to the young children of the colony. The petitioner association has submitted representations to various authorities including the Deputy Commissioner of the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation, Kukatpally, on 30.03.2015, but so far, no orders are passed.

3. The grievance of the petitioners appears to be genuine as the photographs filed by the petitioners disclose the pathetic condition in the concerned residential colony.

4. As agreed by the learned counsel for the petitioners and the learned Standing Counsel for the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation for respondents 2 and 3, the Writ Petition is disposed of directing the Deputy Commissioner, Kukatpalli Division, Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation, Kukatpalli, Hyderabad (3rd respondent) to consider the representation submitted by the first petitioner association on 30.03.2015 ventilating the grievances of the petitioners. The residents of the first petitioner association may also be given an opportunity of personal hearing on a date fixed in advance by the Deputy Commissioner, consider their grievances and take appropriate steps, as warranted by law. Such exercise shall be completed within a period of eight (8) weeks and the decision taken with reference to the grievances of the petitioners be communicated to the first petitioner association. The General Manager, Hyderabad Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewage Board, Kukatpally Housing Board, Hyderabad (4th respondent) shall

also co-operate with the Deputy Commissioner in the process of taking decision on the representation of the petitioners, dated 30.03.2015, with reference to the grievance of the first petitioner association regarding provision of drinking water.
