The grievance of the petitioners in this case was that the police authorities were not registering a case on their complaint dated 12.09.2012 and undertaking an enquiry pursuant thereto. Relying on the written instructions dated 25.10.2012 received from the Station House Officer, Gudur I Town Police Station, Nellore District, the learned Assistant Government Pleader for Home stated that upon the petitioners' representation dated 24.09.2012 addressed to the Superintendent of Police, Nellore District, which was endorsed to the Station House Officer, Gudur I Town Police Station, Crime No.111 of 2012 was registered under Sections 324, 384, 452 and 506 I.P.C. read with Section 34 I.P.C. against six persons and investigation was taken up.

In the light of the afore-stated facts, it is clear that the allegation of the petitioners that the police authorities were inactive upon their complaint is shown to be without basis.

The writ petition is accordingly dismissed.

Pending miscellaneous petitions, if any, shall also stand dismissed. No order as to costs.
