THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE P.NAVEEN RAO WRIT PETITION No.16516 of 2015 ORDER :

The petitioner claims to be resident of Maddikunta Gram Panchayat. The elections to the Gram Panchayat was held on 31.07.2013. The grand father of the petitioner was elected as Surpanch and he died on 31.12.2014. On account of the death of incumbent Surpanch, the elections are to be held afresh to elect a new Surpanch. The petitioner was enrolled as a voter in the voters list at Sl.No.199/754 with NIQ No.1452887 of Maddikunta village and participated in the General elections held in April, 2014. He was also issued voter identity card by the Election Commission of India. On 25.05.2015, a revised voters list of the Gram Panchayat is

published and in the said list, the name of the petitioner is not shown. This was to his surprise and shock and immediately petitioner filed his objection bringing to the notice of various authorities, for not showing his name in the voters list. But so far the objections filed by the petitioner are not disposed of. Aggrieved thereby this writ petition is instituted.

Since the representations submitted by the petitioner are pending and having regard to said submission, without expressing any opinion on merits, the Writ Petition is disposed of directing the 3rd & 4th respondents, to consider the representations and pass orders on the objections filed by the petitioner on 27.05.2015, 03.06.2015 & 09.06.2015, if such objections were received by them and are not disposed of so far, within a period of two (2) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and at any rate before finalisation of the voters list and issuance of notification for conducting of elections.

3. With the above observations, this Writ Petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
