O R D E R

This criminal petition is filed under Section 482 Cr.P.C. seeking to quash the proceedings in Crime No.23/2010 on the file of Siddapur Police Station, Mahabubnagar District, registered against the petitioners/accused 1 to 10, for the offence punishable under Sections 109, 498-A and 494 of IPC. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor on instructions submitted that the matter was settled before the Lok Adalat on 7.7.2010 and the police are not calling the petitioners to the police station as alleged and therefore, no orders need be passed in this petition.

In view of the above submission, I am of the considered view that no orders need be passed in the criminal petition and the same is dismissed as infructuous.

It is needless to observe that the police are not supposed to summon the petitioners to the police station, when the matter has been settled before the Lok Adalat.
