THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE CHALLA KODANDA RAM WRIT PETITION No. 25266 of 2016 O R D E R:

Seeking a direction to the 2nd respondent District Collector, Anantapur to take appropriate steps for constructing a permanent Anganwadi School in an open site admeasuring Ac.0.02 cents in Survey No. 183 of Pamidi Kondapuram Village, Pamidi Mandal, Anantapur District, this Writ Petition has been filed. The case of the petitioner is that the abovesaid extent of land was earmarked for the purpose of constructing an Anganwadi School so as to facilitate the needy of the 2nd ward of Pamidi Kondapuram Village. Since some unscrupulous persons have been trying to grab the said land, the petitioner along with some residents of the locality has submitted a representation dated 14.12.2015 to the 2nd respondent to take up the construction of the Anganwadi School, but, so far, no steps have been taken thereon.

Heard learned counsel for the petitioner as well as learned Government Pleader for Revenue (Andhra Pradesh) and with their consent, the matter is being disposed of at the admission stage. Since the relief sought for in the Writ Petition is in public interest, it would be appropriate for this Court to direct the 2nd respondent District Collector to consider the representation dated 14.12.2015 said to have been submitted by the petitioner, take a decision thereon and communicate the same to the petitioner within a period of 12 weeks from today. Ordered accordingly. With this, the Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs. Consequently, the miscellaneous petitions, if any shall also stand closed.
