HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE C. PRAVEEN KUMAR WRIT PETITION No.34550 OF 2018 ORDER:

This writ petition came to be filed seeking to declare the action of the 3rd respondent-Joint Collector in protracting/dodging to grant Ryotwari Patta to the petitioners in respect of land admeasuring Ac.21.25 cents, situated at Krishna Lanka, Godavarru Agraharam and Panchayat, Duggirala Mandal, Guntur District, under Sections 11 and 12 of Andhra Pradesh (Andhra Area) Estates (Abolition and Conversion into Ryotwari) Act, 1948 (for short, "the Act"), as per the orders in RC.No.498/2015/F1, dated 17.1.2017, of the District Collector, Guntur District, as illegal and arbitrary.

The grievance of the petitioners appears to be that there is a claim petition of the petitioner is pending with the 3rd respondent-Settlement Officer-cum-Joint Collector, in respect of the subject land and the 3rd respondent, may be directed to dispose of the same as early as possible. The learned Government Pleader for Revenue, on instructions, states that the claim petition of the petitioner is pending for consideration before the 3rd respondent and a direction may be given to the 3rd respondent to dispose of the same, in accordance with law. Having regard to the above, the writ petition is disposed of directing the 3rd respondent-Settlement Officer-cum-Joint Collector, to deal with the claim petition of the petitioner filed under Sections 11 and 12 of the Act, as per the orders in RC.No.498/2015/F1, dated 17.1.2017, of the District Collector, Guntur District, in respect of the subject land and pass appropriate orders, in accordance with law, within a reasonable period, after giving reasonable opportunity of hearing to the petitioner and all concerned.

With the above observations, the writ petition is disposed of. No order as to costs.

As a sequel to disposal of the writ petition, WP.M.Ps if any pending shall stand closed.
