CVNR, J & GSP, J WP 16152/2017 ORDER: (per the Hon'ble Sri Justice C.V. Nagarjuna Reddy) This writ petition is filed for the following substantive relief:

"...to issue a writ of habeas corpus under Article 226 of the Constitution of India directing the respondents to produce the detenu, i.e., Gummadavalli Srinivas, alias, Tamata Srinu, who is now detained in Central Prison, Warangal, before this Hon'ble Court and he may be ordered to release forthwith declaring his detention vide Proceedings No.C1/185/2017, dated 14-02-2017 passed by the 2nd Respondent and is confirmed by the 1st Respondent vide G.O. Rt. No.546, dated 23.02.2017 issued by the GAD, Law & Order Department, as illegal, arbitrary, contrary to law, unconstitutional and in violation of Articles 14 and 21 of the Constitution of India besides the guidelines as contemplated in the Preventive Detention Act." At the hearing, Mr. K. Ravinder Reddy, representing Mr. M.A.K.

Mukheed, learned counsel for the petitioner, submitted that as the one year period of detention under the impugned detention order dt.14.02.2017 has expired yesterday, the cause in the writ petition does not survive for adjudication.
