CVNR,J & TA, J Date:25.10.2018 Order: (Per the Hon'ble Sri Justice C.V.Nagarjuna Reddy) This writ petition is filed for issue of habeas corpus, directing the police to produce the petitioner's wife namely Ms.Supriya Bharti (for short 'the alleged detenue') before the court, from the illegal custody of respondents No.4 and 5 and to set her free. 2.

A detailed counter affidavit is filed by respondent No.2, wherein he has inter alia narrated all the efforts made by the police on the complaint received from the petitioner, by visiting Delhi on information given by management of a hotel and also by deputing one male and one female constable to visit the residence of respondents No.4 and 5, the parents of the alleged detenue in Chennai, Tamil Nadu State. Respondent No.2 stated in the counter affidavit that all the aforementioned efforts have not yielded any results, to trace the whereabouts of the alleged detenue. 3.

As we are satisfied that respondent No.2 has left no stone unturned to find out the whereabouts of the alleged detenu, no purpose will be served by keeping this writ petition pending. 4.
