ORDER:

The petitioners are employees presently working in the Society for Elimination of Rural Poverty (SERP), Hyderabad. The petitioners claim to provide pensionary benefits of their retirement.

2. Learned Senior Counsel for the petitioners, placing reliance on the orders of the Government in G.O.Ms.No.313, Panchayat Raj and Rural Development (RD.I) Department, dated 02.07.2013, submits that the Government has already authorized the SERP for extension of the pensionary benefits to 564 regular employees of the District Rural Development Agency (DRDA), who were appointed prior to 01.09.2004 on par with the Government employees. In spite of such a direction issued by the Government, so far the benefits are not extended causing lot of hardship to the petitioners.

3. Learned Senior Counsel for the petitioners further submitted that a similar issue has come up before this Court in W.P.No.13264 of 2014 and this Court disposed of the writ petition by order, dated 25.04.2014. This Court passed the following order:

"Though the learned counsel for the petitioners has

addressed on various issues concerning the entitlement of the petitioner to the pensionary benefits, it would meet the ends of justice if the Writ Petition is disposed of with a direction to the respondent authorities to consider the case of the petitioners taking into account G.O.Ms.No.313, 02.07.2013 and pass appropriate orders thereof as expeditiously as possible, at any rate, with a period of eight (08) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this Order."

4. Following the said order, the Writ Petition is disposed of, directing the Chief Executive Officer, Society for Elimination of Rural Poverty (SERP), Hyderabad (3rd respondent) to consider the case of the petitioners for grant of pensionary benefits taking into account the orders of the Government in G.O.Ms.No.313, Panchayat Raj and Rural Development (RD.I) Department, dated 02.07.2013, and pass appropriate orders thereof, as expeditiously as possible, preferably within a period of six (6) weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order. There shall be no order as to costs. Miscellaneous petitions, if any, pending in this writ petition shall stand closed.
