The present Writ Petition came to be filed seeking appointment of the petitioner on compassionate grounds.

The averments in the writ petition would show that the father of the petitioner died on 04.11.2010, while in service. It is stated that the deceased employee discharged his duties without any complaints throughout his service. It is further stated that the petitioner also lost her mother; that she is left with her siblings and is doing petty jobs for their livelihood. It is the case of the petitioner that though she submitted her application seeking appointment on compassionate grounds, till date the respondents have not considered the same. Hence, the present writ petition.

A counter affidavit came to be filed by the respondents stating that the request of the petitioner was rejected on 18.11.2013, on the ground that there was some manipulation in the date of birth mentioned in the bonafide and conduct certificates. It is stated that after knowing the information about the manipulation of the date of birth, the petitioner has given No-Objection in favour of her step mother. At this stage, learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that if a copy of the order rejecting the request made by the petitioner seeking appointment on compassionate grounds was communicated to her, definitely necessary steps would have been taken by the petitioner. However, the learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that atleast now a copy of the order rejecting the application of the petitioner may be directed to be communicated to her.

Having regard to the above, the writ petition is disposed of directing the respondents to immediately furnish or send a copy of the order dated 18.11.2013, rejecting her request for compassionate appointment by registered post with acknowledgment due, in which event the petitioner shall avail the remedies available under law. No costs.

Consequently, miscellaneous petitions, if any, pending in this Writ Petition shall stand closed.
