ORDER

With the consent of the learned counsel on either side, this Writ Petition is disposed of at the admission stage. This writ petition is filed seeking the following relief: "...to issue a writ, order, direction more particularly one in the nature of Writ of Mandamus declaring that the action of the respondents in not allowing 20 years Special Grade to the petitioners with effect from their completion of 20 years of service rendered in their respective posts in respondent-Corporation as bad, arbitrary, illegal, unjust, discriminatory and contrary to the Circulars of the respondent Corporation and consequently direct the respondents to allow 20 years Special Grade/Stagnation Increment to the petitioners w.e.f their completion of 20 years of service in their concerned posts counting their total service irrespective of the regions in concerned with the Circular PD-04/2011, dt. 12-01-2011 with proper fixation and pass such other order or orders as this Hon'ble Court deems fit and proper."

Heard Sri P.Venkateshwer Rao, learned counsel appearing for the petitioners, and learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondent-Corporation.

The grievance of the petitioners is that though they have completed 20 years of service, the respondent-Corporation is not extending the benefit of years of Special Grade/Stagnation increment to them.

Learned counsel appearing for the petitioners submits that similar issue fell for consideration before this Court in W.P.No.12012 of 2017 and this Court vide order dated 17.04.2017 disposed of the same by following the order dated 17.6.2015 passed in W.P.No.16932 of 2015. The operative portion of the order dated 17.04.2017 reads as under: "Following the order dated 17.6.2015 passed in W.P.No.16932 of 2015, this Writ Petition is also allowed directing the respondent-Corporation to consider the petitioners' cases for granting special grade increments on completion of 20 years of service by considering their total service in the Corporation irrespective of the regions and pass appropriate orders within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order."

Learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondent-Corporation does not dispute the same. In view of the same, this Writ Petition is disposed of directing the respondent-Corporation to consider the petitioners' cases for granting special grade increments on completion of 20 years of service by considering their total service in the Corporation irrespective of the regions and pass appropriate orders within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs. Miscellaneous petitions, if any, pending shall stand closed.
