The present writ petition came to be filed seeking the following relief:
" To declare the action of the respondent authorities especially R4 in not finalizing the appeal filed by the petitioners on 14.07.23017 as illegal, unconstitutional, consequently direct the respondent 3 to 5 to forthwith finalise the appeal after giving the documents sought while initiating steps to identify the persons responsible for denial of the statutory benefits to the petitioners including that of non expeditious disposal of the statutory appeal." 2.
The learned counsel for the petitioners mainly submits that though an appeal was filed by the petitioners in July, 2017, till date, the same is not taken up for consideration. 3.
Learned Government Pleader would submit that if the appeal filed by the petitioners is still pending consideration, the authorities will dispose of the same within a period of two months. 4.
Having regard to the above, the writ petition is disposed of, directing the 4th respondent to dispose of the appeal filed by the petitioner against the order of the Tahsildar dated 26.05.2016 in
Rc.No. 531/ 2015/ DT and pass orders in accordance with law, as early as possible, preferably, within a period of two to four months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. As a sequel thereto, Miscellaneous Petitions, if any, pending in this writ petition, shall stand closed.
