O R D E R:- The limited grievance of the writ petitioners is that even though the petitioners made applications dated 29.07.2013 and 08.11.2013 to the 2nd and 3rd respondents respectively for issuance of community certificates certifying them as belonging to the caste "Perika Balija", which falls under BC-B category, based on their earlier community certificates, school records and the instructions issued by the District Level Scrutiny Committee dated 28.11.2014, enabling them to avail all benefits, the authorities have not taken any steps so far to issue caste certificates. Hence, the present writ petition is filed seeking appropriate directions.

On 03.02.2015, when the matter was taken up for hearing, this Court directed the learned Government Pleader for Social Welfare to get instructions as to why the applications made by the petitioners have not been processed especially in view of the orders dated 15.07.2014 passed by this Court in W.P.No. 13588 of 2014 whereby the authorities were directed to consider such applications and pass appropriate orders thereon in the light of the recommendations made by the District Level Scrutiny Committee. Today, when the matter is called, the learned Government Pleader has produced intimation vide Rc.B/106/2013, dated 07.02.2015, received from the Tahsildar stating that final orders were passed on 06.01.2015 rejecting the case of the petitioners by clarifying

that the petitioners do not belong to the caste "Perika Balija", but belong to "Balija" community which falls under O.C. category. A copy of the order has also been furnished to the petitioners' counsel.

In view of the orders dated 06.01.2015 passed by the 2nd respondent-Tahsildar rejecting the petitioners' application, no further orders are required to be passed in this writ petition, and accordingly, the writ petition is closed. However, it is left open to the petitioners to avail alternative remedies as may be available to them under law against the rejection of their claim. As a sequel to the closure of the writ petition, Miscellaneous Petitions, if any pending, shall stand disposed of as infructuous.
