..

Petitioner And The State of Telangana, Rep., by Secretary to Government, Revenue Department, Secretariat, Hyderabad & others.

.. Respondents This court made the following :

THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE P.NAVEEN RAO WRIT PETITION No.9692 of 2017 ORDER :

Heard.

2.

By order dated 29.09.2015 of the District Collector, Nizamabad (3rd respondent), petitioner was imposed punishment of stoppage of two annual grade increments with cumulative effect. Aggrieved thereby petitioner preferred appeal which was acknowledged by the appellate authority-Chief Commissioner of Land Administration (2nd respondent) on 14.12.2015. The grievance of the petitioner is that the said appeal is not considered so far and on the ground that petitioner is under currency of punishment, he is not considered for promotion. 3.

Since petitioner was visited with punishment and appeal filed by him is pending, this Court is not inclined to entertain the writ petition and keep the writ petition pending. It would suffice if a direction is issued to the appellate authority to consider the appeal and pass orders, as expeditiously as possible. 4.

Having regard to the same, the Writ Petition is disposed of directing the Chief Commissioner of Land Administration (2nd respondent) to pass orders in the appeal preferred by the petitioner, acknowledged on 14.12.2015, as expeditiously as possible, preferably within a period of six (6) weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order. There shall be no order as to costs. Miscellaneous petitions, if any, pending in this writ petition shall stand closed.
