This writ appeal is directed against the order dated 21.1.2016 passed in Writ Petition No. 1577 of 2016, whereby, the learned Single Judge has dismissed the writ petition holding that the appellant failed to show any prejudice on account of non-completion of the process of co-option, within the time stipulated under Rule 5 of the Andhra Pradesh Municipal Councils/Nagar Panchayats (Co-option of Members having Special Knowledge or Experience in Municipal Administration) Rules, 1995 (for short 'the Rules').

We have perused the impugned order.

Learned counsel for the appellant does not dispute that in the meeting that will be conducted now for co-option, the appellant's candidature also will be considered. In other words, the appellant does not lose a chance of being considered for co-option.

Mr. N. Praveen Kumar, learned Standing Counsel for respondent No.3 submits that the appellant's application will also be considered for co-option. In view thereof, we are not inclined to entertain the appeal. The writ appeal is dismissed.

Consequently, pending miscellaneous petitions shall also stand closed.
