This writ petition is filed seeking issuance of writ of mandamus declaring the action of respondents in not considering the application dated 18.02.2015, made by the petitioner, seeking grant of license for two weapons i.e., one NP Bore Revolver/ Pistol and one B.L.Gun/ Rifle, as illegal and arbitrary.

Though various grounds are raised, learned counsel for the petitioner restricts his prayer seeking a direction to respondent No.3 to consider the application dated 18.02.2015, made by the petitioner, seeking grant of license for two weapons, at the earliest. 3.

Learned Government Pleader for Home would submit that he has no objection, provided the said application is still pending consideration. 4.

Having regard to the above, the writ petition is disposed of directing respondent No.3 to deal with the application dated 18.02.2015, made by the petitioner, seeking grant of license for two weapons i.e., one NP Bore Revolver/ Pistol and one B.L.Gun/ Rifle, in accordance with law, as early as possible, preferably within a period of three months, provided the same is still pending consideration. No costs. 5.

As a sequel thereto, Miscellaneous Petitions, if any, pending in this Writ Petition, shall stand closed.
