HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE ABHINAND KUMAR SHAVILI WRIT PETITION No. 10183 of 2011 ORDER:

This writ petition is filed seeking to issue a writ of mandamus declaring the action of the respondents in not paying the salary of the petitioner from 06.12.2005 to 14.05.2007 and 16.08.2010 to till date and in discontinuing him from service as Mick Announcer, as illegal and arbitrary.

Heard Sri P. Govinda Rajulu, learned counsel for the petitioner, and Sri A. Rama Rao, learned standing counsel for APSRTC appearing on behalf of the respondents.

When the matter is taken up for hearing, it is informed by the learned standing counsel for the respondents that the petitioner has been provided with alternative employment as Shramik during 2011 and since then he is discharging his duties as Shramik. The grievance of the petitioner is that he should have been appointed as Announcer instead of Shramik, as he finds difficulty in discharging duties as Shramik.

In view of the above, ends of justice would be met if a direction is given to the respondent corporation to consider the case of the petitioner for appointment as Announcer in the future vacancy.

Accordingly, the writ petition is disposed of directing the respondent corporation to consider the case of the petitioner for appointment as Announcer in the future vacancy. Consequently, miscellaneous petitions, if any, pending in the writ petition shall stand closed. No order as to costs. ______________________________ ABHINAND KUMAR SHAVILI, J 3rd October, 2018 cbs
