Heard Ms.Hemalatha for petitioner and the Assistant Government Pleader (Home) for respondents 1 to 3. The prayer is against delay in investigation and filing charge-sheet in FIR No.26 of 2016 by 3rd respondent. The Assistant Government Pleader (Home), places on record charge-sheet dated 16.06.2017 and the same is numbered as PRC No.14 of 2017 before the Judicial First Class Magistrate, Kalyanadurg.

Having regard to filing of charge-sheet, this Court is of the view that the grievance of petitioner is substantially redressed. On expeditious completion of trial, the Assistant Government Pleader submits that steps for completion of trial as are deemed necessary, particularly having regard to the age of petitioner and the evidence recorded in the matter, will be taken before the Judicial First Class Magistrate, Kalyanadurg. By placing on record the above statement, the writ petition is disposed of accordingly. No order as to costs. Miscellaneous petitions, if any, pending, shall stand closed. _____________ S. V.
