K. Srinivasa Rao, v. The Principle Secretary,
HONOURABLE SRI JUSTICE RAJA ELANGO WRIT PETITION No.17881 of 2012 ORDER:
This writ petition is filed with a prayer to direct the respondents to construct the gram panchayath office at Sy.No.82 to the extent of 0.8 cents of at Vasi Gram Panchayath, to direct the respondents to initiate action as per letter dated 29.10.2011 in proceedings Memo No.23544/ Vig.II/ A2/ 2011-1.
Heard and perused the material available on record. The 2nd respondent filed counter affidavit, wherein it was categorically stated that there is no delay on the part of the respondents in issuing the work orders and giving markings at the place suggested by the Gram Panchayath and whenever they intend to mark the place for construction, some of the villagers objected for one or the other reason, that since there are disputes between the villagers with regard to marking the site, the construction work could not be started. It is further stated by the 2nd respondent that as early as possible they will find out a place and construct the Gram Panchayath by convincing the villagers.
In view of the above, the writ petition is disposed of and the respondents are directed to construct the Gram Panchayath office as expeditiously as possible, by convincing the villagers, within a period of six months.
No order as to costs. Consequently, miscellaneous petitions pending, if any, shall stand closed.
