HONOURABLE SRI JUSTICE RAJA ELANGO WRIT PETITION No.2124 of 2011 ORDER:

This writ petition is filed seeking a direction to the respondents not to demolish the house of the petitioner, without conducting proper survey. 2.
Heard and perused the material available on record. 3.
On 13.2.2011, this Court granted order of status quo. Today, when this matter has come up for hearing, the learned Standing Counsel for the 2nd respondent submitted that the petitioner constructed a building by encroaching the channel Poramboke and that the 2nd respondent officials have already demolished the encroached compound wall and encroached portion of the building of the petitioner.

Admittedly, the petitioner completed his constructions. If there are any deviations or unauthorized constructions, and if the respondents have any grievance regarding the constructions made by the petitioner, they are at liberty to take appropriate action against the petitioner, after issuing a notice to him, in accordance with law.
