Heard counsel for the petitioner and the Government Pleader for Services appearing for respondents. 2.

It is stated by both sides that the issue raised in this Writ Petition is covered by the order dt.31.10.2016 in W.P.No.36908 of 2016.

Therefore, for reasons alike, this Writ Petition is also disposed of directing the respondents to issue orders placing the petitioners in the seniority list of Inspector of Police in Zone-V and VI as per G.O.Ms.No.18 dated 22.1.1998 and G.O.Ms.No.292 Home (Police-E) Department, dated 29.11.2001 by appropriately amending the existing seniority list in the cadre of Inspector of Police in the ensuing review which is now undertaken by the respondents along with the others and pass appropriate orders within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. There shall be no order as to costs.

Consequently, miscellaneous petitions pending, if any, in this Writ Petition shall stand closed.
