ORDER

With the consent of the learned counsel on either side, this Writ Petition is disposed of at the admission stage. This writ petition is filed seeking to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to consider the representations dated 7.8.2017 and 28.08.2017 of the petitioner for providing appointment on compassionate grounds. Heard Sri Mohammed Ghouseuddin, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Sri N.Vasudeva Reddy, learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondentCorporation. The grievance of the petitioner is that while discharging his duties as Driver, on 27.08.2014, her husband expired. Hence, she submitted representations on 7.8.2017 and 28.08.2017 to provide appointment on compassionate grounds. But, so far, no orders have been passed thereon. Learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submits that even though there is a scheme for providing appointment on compassionate grounds, the respondent-Corporation is not considering the case of the petitioner.

Learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondent-Corporation submits that if the petitioner is found

eligible, her case will be considered, in accordance with the Scheme of the Corporation.

Having considered the rival submissions made by the learned counsel on either side, this Court is of the considered view that ends of justice would be met if a direction is given to the respondent-Corporation to consider the case of the petitioner.

Accordingly, the Writ Petition is disposed of directing the respondent-Corporation to consider the case of the petitioner for appointment on compassionate grounds in accordance with the Scheme and pass appropriate orders within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs.

Miscellaneous petitions, if any, pending shall stand closed.
