When the matter is taken up, it is submitted by the learned counsel for the petitioner that for redressal of his grievance, petitioner herein submitted an application on 21.05.2018 to respondent No.2, but no action has been taken so far.

Having heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Pleader, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, this court deems it appropriate to dispose of the writ petition, with a direction to the 2nd respondent to verify the application, dated 21.05.2018, said to have been submitted by the petitioner herein, if pending as on date, and take appropriate action, as expeditiously as possible, preferably within a period of 6 (six) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

The writ petition is accordingly disposed of. No order as to costs. Pending miscellaneous petitions, if any, shall stand closed in consequence.
