THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE C. PRAVEEN KUMAR WRIT PETITION NO. 20571 of 2017 ORDER :

Heard both sides. With the consent of both parties the writ petition is disposed of at the admission stage.

The present writ petition came to be filed seeking issuance of writ of mandamus declaring the action of respondent Nos. 2 to 4 in not conducting and completing the investigation in Crime No.123 of 2016 of Jaladanki Police Station, Sri Potti Sri Ramulu Nellore District, dated 24.12.2016, registered for an offences punishable under Section 323 IPC and Section 3(1)(s) of the SCs and STs Prevention of Atrocities Act, 1989 as illegal and arbitrary. 3.

Though various grounds are raised, learned counsel for the petitioner restricts his prayer seeking a direction to respondent No.4 to complete the investigation, at the earliest, and file a final report. 4.

Learned Government Pleader, on instructions, states that the investigation is still going on and as soon as it is completed, a final report would be filed. 5.

Having regard to the submission made across the Bar, the writ petition is disposed of directing respondent No.4 to complete the investigation in Crime No.123 of 2016 of Jaladanki Police Station, Sri Potti Sri Ramulu Nellore District, dated 24.12.2016, and file a final report as early as possible preferably within a period of two to three months from today in accordance with law.
