ORDER

With the consent of the learned counsel on either side, this Writ Petition is disposed of at the admission stage. This writ petition is filed seeking for the following relief: "...to issue a writ, order or direction more particularly one in the nature of Writ of Mandamus or any other appropriate writ (i) declare that the petitioner is eligible for consideration for appointment to the post of Motor Mechanic Trainee Category-I since he would be the next meritorious candidate in pursuance to Employment Notification No.2 of 2015; (ii) declare the action of the respondents in not considering the case of the petitioner under B.C "B" category in pursuance to Employment Notification No.2 of 2015 is illegal and arbitrary (iii) consequently direct the respondents to appoint the petitioner on par with others for the post of Motor Mechanic Trainee Category-I in the post reserved for BC "B" category in pursuance to Notification No.2 of 2015; (iii) pass such order or other orders as this Hon'ble Court may deem fit and proper in the interest of justice."

Heard Smt K.Udaya Sri, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Sri J.Srinivasa Rao, learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondent- Singareni Collieries Company Limited.

It is the case of the petitioner that he belongs to BC-B community. Pursuant to the notification issued by the respondents, he applied to the post of Motor Mechanic

Trainee, and he was subjected to selection process. Among three candidates, who were selected under BC-B category, two candidates have joined and one of them had not joined. As he was the next meritorious candidate, he submitted a representation on 13.08.2018 to the respondents to consider his case for appointment. But, so far, no orders have been passed thereon. Hence, the present writ petition is filed. Learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondents submits that representation of the petitioner will be considered and appropriate orders will be passed. In view of the same, the Writ Petition is disposed of directing the respondents to consider the representation dated 13.08.2018 of the petitioner and pass appropriate orders thereon, in accordance with law, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs. Miscellaneous petitions, if any, pending shall stand closed.
