This Criminal Petition, under Section 482 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973, is filed by the petitioner/ A.3, to quash the proceedings in Crime No.479 of 2018 of L.B. Nagar Police Station, Rachakonda Commissionerate, registered for the offences punishable under Sections 419, 468, 471, 420, 120B read with 34 of IPC.

Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner/ A.3, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor representing respondent No.1/ State and the learned counsel for respondent No.2/ de facto complainant. Perused the record.

It is contended on behalf of the petitioner/ A.3 that the petitioner is neither an employee in the Sub-Registrar's office nor he has any connection with the subject crime. He is falsely implicated in this case. The petitioner/ A.3 was arrested long back and was released on bail. In spite of lapse of about 11 months, investigation is not yet completed and ultimately prayed to quash the proceedings.

Learned Additional Public Prosecutor representing respondent No.1-State and the learned counsel for respondent No.2/ de facto complainant opposed the relief sought by the petitioner/ A.3 and ultimately prayed to dismiss the petition.

There is a specific mention of presence of the petitioner/ A.3 at the shop when a deal in between the accused was fixed. In the investigation, there is also mention that an amount of Rs.1,00,000/ - was paid to the petitioner/ A.3. The truth or otherwise of the allegations levelled against the petitioner/ A.3 would be known only after investigation and trial of the case. As per the record, it is not a fit case to quash the proceedings. Though much time has elapsed, charge sheet is not yet filed. Under these circumstances, the investigating officer is directed to complete the investigation and file a final report expeditiously.

With the above direction, the Criminal Petition is disposed of.

Miscellaneous Petitions, if any, pending in this Criminal Petition shall stand closed.
