THE HON'BLE DR. JUSTICE D.NAGARJUN CRIMINAL PETITION No.10875 of 2017 ORDER:

This criminal petition is filed under Section 482 of the Code of Criminal Procedure seeking to quash the proceedings in Crime No.92 of 2017 of Kodangal Police Station, Vikarabad District, against the petitioner for the offence punishable under Section 366-A of the Indian Penal Code.

Learned counsel for the petitioner fairly submits that during the pendency of this criminal petition, police have completed the investigation, charge sheet is also filed and thereby the purpose of filing this criminal petition is defeated and therefore the cause in this criminal petition does not survive.

Recording the said submission, the criminal petition is dismissed as infructuous. However, the petitioner is granted liberty to challenge the charge sheet, if he so desires. As a sequel, pending miscellaneous applications, if any, shall stand closed.
