Heard Sri V.Narasimha Goud, learned counsel appearing for the

petitioner and Sri A.Rama Rao, learned Standing Counsel for the respondents-Andhra Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation (the Corporation, for short).

2. Originally, the petitioner was appointed as a driver in the respondents-Corporation on 30-7-2009 and he was regularised in the said post on 01-7-2012. While the petitioner was on duty, he developed fits and was unable to drive the bus. Thereafter, he was initially taken to the Corporation Hospital, Tarnaka, Hyderabad and from there, he was referred to Nizam's Institute of Medical Sciences, Panjagutta, Hyderabad. The medical record shows that the petitioner suffered from defective colour vision and also "PNES with seizures". As the petitioner was found unfit to discharge the duties of a driver, he was given alternative employment of the conductor.

3. The version of the petitioner is that he studied only up to IX Class and therefore, he is not capable of discharging the duties of a conductor. He also submits that because of the seizures he is suffering from, it is not possible for him to discharge the duties of a conductor. Therefore, he made a representation dated 23-3-2015 seeking the employment as Shramik or Record Tracer which is now pending with the respondents-Corporation.

The petitioner also issued a Lawyer's Notice dated 11-4-2015 to the 2nd respondent-Regional Manager of the Corporation, Anantapuramu Region setting out the aforesaid circumstances.

Under the aforementioned circumstances, the writ petition is disposed of at the stage of admission, directing the respondentsCorporation to consider the representation dated 23-3-2015 submitted by the petitioner having due regard to his qualifications and health condition and pass appropriate orders within a period of 8

(eight) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. The miscellaneous petitions, if any, pending in this writ petition shall stand closed. No costs.
