HON'BLE THE ACTING CHIEF JUSTICE DILIP B. BHOSALE AND HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE S.V. BHATT WRIT PETITION No. 30336 OF 2015 PC: (per the Hon'ble the Acting Chief Justice Dilip B. Bhosale) This Habeas Corpus Petition is filed by one retired Assistant Commissioner of Police alleging that Mr. Garikapati Venkateshwar Rao S/o. late Surya Bhasker Rao has been illegally detained by respondent No.4 - the Director of Desire Foundation (De-addiction Centre).

As per the directions issued on last occasion, learned Government Pleader has kept Mr. Garikapati Venkateshwar Rao and the Director of De-addiction Centre present in the Court. Even wife of Mr. Garikapati Venkateshwar Rao is also present in the Court. It is not in dispute that Mr. Garikapati Venkateshwar Rao is addicted to drugs and his wife got him admitted at this Centre and he is taking treatment. Wife confirms that she got her husband admitted and she is happy with the treatment that he is getting there. In the circumstances, we do not find any substance in the writ petition.

Writ Petition is dismissed.
