This Writ Petition was filed challenging the action of the first respondent in issuing G.O.Rt.No.707, dated 23.09.2016, removing the petitioner from the post of Special Public Prosecutor to conduct the trial in Sessions Case No.2 of 2008 pending on the file of the XI Additional District and Sessions Judge, Visakhapatnam.

When the matter is taken up for consideration, learned Government Pleader produced before this Court a copy of G.O.Rt.No.182, Home (Courts-A) Department, dated 08.03.2017, entrusting the said case in S.C.No.2 of 2008 to Smt. Y. Sujatha, Additional Public Prosecutor, II Additional District and Sessions Court, Visakhapatnam. In view of the entrustment of the case to the Additional Public Prosecutor by G.O.Rt.No.182, Home (Courts-A) Department, dated 08.03.2017, the cause in the present Writ Petition does not survive for consideration and, accordingly, the Writ Petition is dismissed as infructuous. There shall be no order as to costs. As a sequel thereto, the miscellaneous petitions, if any, pending in this Writ Petition shall stand closed.
