The subject matter of W.P.24570 of 2018 concerns selection and appointment to the post of Anganwadi teacher in Chaparalapally Village, Mulkalapally Mandal, Bhadradri Kothagudem District. The grievance of the petitioner was that though she married the native of Chaparalapalli Village, she was not treated as a local of the said village. This Court directed the respondents to consider the claim of petitioner by taking note of the agency area certificate of her husband and if proof of marriage is produced. Alleging that the said orders are not complied, this contempt case is filed.

In Paragraph No.6 of the counter affidavit, tabulated statement of marks secured by three candidates in Xth class are shown. Since Smt Banoth Nagamani was a widow, she was granted five marks more. In the said manner, the two candidates are shown at Sl.Nos.1 and 2 and petitioner at Sl.No.3. As per the letter dated 31.07.2019 of Revenue Divisional Officer, submitted to District Development Officer, Child and Women Development, Bhadradri Kothagudem, basing on the report of Tahsildar, all the three persons were treated as natives of same village. 3.

In sofaras this case is concerned, the only issue is whether petitioner was considered as native of the village in the process of selection ?

The material on record would disclose that petitioner is treated as a native of the village, but she was not selected. If

- 3 - petitioner has any grievance regarding selection of other two candidates, by treating them as local, it is open to the petitioner to work out her remedies as available to her.
