THE HONOURABLE SRI JUSTICE RAJA ELANGO CRIMINAL PETITION No.1344 of 2011 ORDER:

This petition is filed by the sole accused invoking the provision under Section 482 Cr.P.C. seeking to quash the proceedings in S.T.C.No.70 of 2010 pending on the file of First Additional Judicial Magistrate of First Class, Kamalapuram, Kadapa District for the offence punishable under Sections 138 and 142 of Negotiable Instruments Act. This matter is pending from 2011. Earlier this Court directed the trial Court to proceed with the trial and dispose of the same. But there are no instructions on behalf of the petitioner as well as the second respondent herein.

In view of the above, the trial Court is directed to dispose of the S.T.C.No.70 of 2010 as expeditiously as possible, preferably within a period of six months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, if the same is not already disposed of.

The Criminal Petition is disposed of accordingly. Miscellaneous Petitions, if any pending, shall stand closed. _________________ RAJA ELANGO,J 07.12.2015.
