Respondents This Court made the following:- THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE P.NAVEEN RAO WRIT PETITION No.30894 of 2015 ORDER:

Apprehending that the respondent authorities are taking steps to demolish the residential houses of the petitioners without following the due process, the petitioners filed this writ petition.

2. Learned counsel for the petitioners contends that marking with red colour has

been made on the properties of the petitioners indicating clearly that to that extent of marked portion, the authorities are going to demolish for the purpose of acquisition for road widening purpose.

3. No prior notice or an opportunity was given to the petitioners before taking steps for demolition of the residential houses of the petitioners.

4. When the matter is taken up, learned Standing Counsel for Greater Warangal Municipal Corporation, on instructions, submits that no marking was made and the Corporation has not initiated any steps to acquire the residential houses of the petitioners.

5. Similarly, learned Standing Counsel representing Kakatiya Urban Development Authority also states that they have not undertaken any steps to acquire the residential houses of the petitioners.

6. It appears from the material available in the writ petition that the residential houses in question belong to the petitioners. If that is so and the said houses are required for public purpose, the authorities shall follow the due procedure before taking possession and demolishing the structures.

7. Accordingly, the Writ Petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
