The petitioner is working as a Driver in the respondent - Corporation. It appears that the petitioner was on leave on medical grounds from 06.05.2016 to 26.06.2016. Praying to treat the said period of absence as sick leave, he submitted a representation on 16.09.2016 and a detailed representation on 28.10.2016. Alleging that the said representations are not acted upon so far and the period of absence is not treated as sick leave causing lot of hardship and suffering to the petitioner, he filed the present Writ Petition.

As the petitioner contends that his representations are yet to be acted upon, this Court is not inclined to entertain the Writ Petition and keep the same pending.

The Writ Petition is accordingly disposed of directing the Regional Manager, Andhra Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation, East Godavari Region, Rajahmundry, the 2nd respondent, to consider the representation dated 28.10.2016 submitted by the petitioner with regard to his claim for treatment of period of absence as sick leave and pass appropriate orders within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. There shall be no order as to costs. Miscellaneous Petitions, if any, pending in this Writ Petition shall stand closed.
