ORAL ORDER:

Heard learned counsel for petitioner, learned Government Pleader for Finance and Planning and learned standing counsel for respondents 2 to 5 and with their consent the writ petition is taken up for disposal at the admission stage.

Petitioner retired from service on attaining the age of superannuation on 31.3.2010. Petitioner claims that revised pay scales of year 2010 which came into force from 1.4.2010 shall also be extended to him. Praying to grant such benefits, petitioner made a representation on 24.10.2017. Alleging inaction, this writ petition is filed. 3.

When the matter is taken up, both counsel submitted that writ petition may be disposed of with a direction to consider the representation of the petitioner.

Having regard to the same, without going into the merits of the matter, the writ petition is disposed of with direction to second respondent-Chairman and Managing Director to take a decision on the representation made by petitioner on 24.10.2017 and pass appropriate orders as expeditiously as possible, preferably within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order.
