Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner, learned Government Pleader for Housing, and the learned Standing Counsel for the 2nd respondent-Housing Board. The petitioner herein is daughter of the deceased employee, who was working in the 2nd respondent-Housing Board. The mother of the petitioner died in harness and the petitioner being the divorcee, made several representations to the 2nd respondentHousing Board seeking compassionate appointment but no decision has been taken sofar by the 2nd respondent-Housing Board. The last representation made by the petitioner was on 1.8.2015 and the same is pending with the 2nd respondent-Housing Board.

In the circumstances, the writ petition is disposed of directing the respondents to consider the representation submitted by the petitioner seeking compassionate appointment and pass appropriate orders within a period of eight weeks according to the rules governing the compassionate appointment relating to the 2nd respondent Housing Board. No order as to costs. The Miscellaneous Petitions, if any, pending in this writ petition shall stand closed.
