HONOURABLE SRI JUSTICE RAJA ELANGO WRIT PETITION No.17976 OF 2017 ORDER:

This writ petition is filed seeking to direct the 2nd respondent to appoint the petitioner as Founder/Hereditary Trustee-cum-Chairman to the 4th respondent-temple by considering his representation dated 12.9.2016. 2.

The case of the petitioner is as follows:

The grandfather of the petitioner built a big temple in the name of Lord Sri Kashi Vishweshwara Swamy Temple at Station Road, Warangal, along with sub-shrines of Lord Laxmi Narasimha Swamy, Lord Veerabhadra Swamy and Navagraha Mantapam etc., and he used to manage the same. After his death, the father of the petitioner became the Founder Family member of the subject temple. Till 1993, the father of the petitioner managed the affairs of the temple. In the year 1994, the 1st respondent had taken over the temple. The father of the petitioner made an application to the 3rd respondent to appoint him as Founder/Trustee of the subject temple. Accordingly, he was appointed. The father of the petitioner died on 18.8.2016. The petitioner submitted a representation on 12.9.2016 before the 2nd respondent to appoint him as Founder/Hereditary Trustee of the subject temple. But no orders have been passed so far on the representation of the petitioner. Hence, the petitioner filed this writ petition.

Heard and perused the material available on record. 4.

The representation made by the petitioner on 12.9.2016 is pending. In view of the same, without expressing any opinion on merits, this Court is inclined to pass the following order:

"Respondents concerned are directed to consider the representation made by the petitioner, and pass appropriate orders, in accordance with law, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order." 5.
