Heard learned counsel for the petitioner, Sri K.Lakshman, learned Assistant Solicitor General for respondents 1 and 2 and Sri T.V.Prasad, learned counsel for respondent No.3. 2.

Aggrieved by the order of punishment of stoppage of one increment with cumulative effect, petitioner claims to have preferred appeal to the Secretary to the Government of India & the Appellate Authority on 25.05.2015 which is enclosed to the writ petition paper book. Petitioner also enclosed the postal endorsement of sending the appeal. Alleging inaction on the appeal preferred by the petitioner, this writ petition is filed. 3.

Having regard to the above, without expressing any opinion on merits, the Writ Petition is disposed of directing the Secretary to Government of India-cum-Appellate Authority-2nd respondent to consider and pass appropriate orders in the appeal preferred by the petitioner, as expeditiously as possible, preferably within a period of six (6) weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order. Pending miscellaneous petitions shall stand closed.
