HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE U.DURGA PRASAD RAO CRIMINAL PETITION No.8105 of 2014 ORDER:

In this petition filed under Sec.482 Cr.P.C, the petitioners/ A.2 to A.4 seek to quash the proceedings in C.C.No.35 of 2014 on the file of Additional Junior Civil Judge, Chilakaluripet, Guntur District.

2) The petitioners/A.2 to A.4 and A.1 are accused of the offences under Sec.498-A r/w 34 IPC and Sec.3 & 4 of Dowry Prohibition Act. Investigation in this case is completed and charge-sheet is filed and the trial Court took cognizance of the case.

3) Having regard to the prima facie accusation made out in the charge-sheet, it is not a fit case to quash the proceedings. However, considering the fact that petitioners/A.2 to A.3 are aged persons and A.4 is an employee, the attendance of petitioners/A.2 to A.4 in C.C.No.35 of 2014 on the file of Additional Junior Civil Judge, Chilakaluripet, Guntur District is dispensed with except on the occasions when the trial Court requires their attendance.

4) In the result, this Criminal Petition is dismissed. As a sequel, miscellaneous petitions pending if any, shall stand closed.
