This Writ Petition is filed by the petitioner under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, seeking a direction to the 2nd respondent to consider his application dated 22.11.2016 for renewal of his passport. 2.
Heard and perused the material available on record. 3.
The main grievance of the petitioner is that he made an application dated 22.11.2016 through on line for renewal of his passport to the 2nd respondent. But the 2nd respondent has not considered his application so far.

Considering the circumstances of the case and the grievance of the petitioner, without expressing any opinion on merits of the case, the Writ Petition is disposed of with the following direction: "The 2nd respondent is directed to dispose of the application of the petitioner dated 22.11.2016, in accordance with law, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order."
No costs. Miscellaneous petitions, if any, pending in this writ petition shall stand dismissed.
