2. Learned counsel for second respondent, at the outset, invites our attention to Rule 12 of the Taxation and Financial Rules and submits that revision against the notice, impugned in the present writ petition, is maintainable. Having confronted with this, learned counsel for petitioner, prays for withdrawal of the writ petition with liberty to the petitioner to file a revision and seeks direction to the Revisional Authority to consider it in accordance with law within time frame.

3. Writ petition is disposed of as not pressed, with liberty as prayed. If the petitioner files a revision within a period of two weeks from today, the Revisional Authority shall consider the same on merits in accordance with law as expeditiously as possible, preferably within a period of eight weeks from the date of filing of the revision. All contentions on merits are kept open. While passing this order, we shall not be understood to have examined merits of the case. There shall be no order as to costs. Miscellaneous petitions if any pending in the writ appeals shall stand closed.
