THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE RAJA ELANGO CRIMINAL PETITION No.10395 OF 2015 ORDER:
This Criminal Petition is filed by the petitioner - Accused No.1 under Section 438 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, seeking to grant bail in Crime No.444 of 2015 of Dundugal Police Station, Ranga Reddy District, for the offences punishable under Sections 498-A IPC read with Sections 3 & 4 of the Dowry Prohibition Act. Heard and perused the material available on record. The marriage between the petitioner and the de facto complainant was performed in the year 2013, which is a love cum arranged marriage. The allegations against the petitioner are that he used to harass the de facto complainant demanding additional dowry and also he had illegal intimacy with another lady, by name, Prema Latha, and when the de facto complainant questioned the same, he assaulted her. The said Prema Latha also used to call the de facto complainant over phone and abused her, due to which the de facto complainant is suffering mentally.
In view of the seriousness of the allegations leveled against the petitioner, this Court is not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner. Accordingly, the Criminal Petition is dismissed. ______________ RAJA ELANGO, J October 13, 2015 KTL
