THE HONOURABLE SRI JUSTICE RAJA ELANGO CRIMINAL PETITION No.5369 of 2016 ORDER:

1. This Criminal Petition is filed by the petitioner-Accused No.4 under Section 482 Cr.P.C. seeking to quash the proceedings against her in C.C.No.269 of 2013 on the file of the XIII Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate, Nampally, Hyderabad.

2. Heard and perused the material available on record.

3. The petitioner is alleged to have committed the offence punishable under Sections 498-A, 494, 506 r/w 34 IPC and Sections 3 and 4 of the Dowry Prohibition Act.

4. The learned Counsel for the petitioner submitted that A1 in the above case married the petitioner by concealing his first marriage and on coming to know about the same, the petitioner filed O.P. before the Family Court, Hyderabad, to declare her marriage with A1 as null and void and the Family Court, Hyderabad declared the marriage of the petitioner with A1 as null and void and that the father of the petitioner wants to perform her marriage, but due to the pendency of the criminal case, he is not in a position to perform her marriage and therefore, a direction may be issued to dispose of the above C.C. as early as possible.

5. Considering the above submissions, the learned XIII Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate, Nampally, Hyderabad is directed to dispose of the above C.C. within a period of six months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

6. Accordingly, the Criminal Petition is disposed of. Consequently, miscellaneous petitions pending, if any, shall stand closed.
