The grievance of the petitioner is that the Joint Collector, Chittoor District, is not disposing of his representation dated 08.09.2014 whereby he sought cancellation of the ryotwari pattas granted to respondents 4 to 8 herein. Sri Ch. Ravinder, learned counsel for the petitioner, however concedes that the authority would have no power to cancel the pattas granted to the unofficial respondents upon such a representation and that necessary proceedings would have to be initiated under the Andhra Pradesh (Andhra Area) Inams (Abolition and

Conversion into Ryotwari) Act, 1956.

In the light of this concession, the writ petition is dismissed reserving liberty to the petitioner to avail appropriate remedies in accordance with law. Pending miscellaneous petitions, if any, shall also stand dismissed. No order as to costs.
