Sri D. Ramesh, learned Special Government Pleader, at the outset, on instructions, submits that the 2nd respondent shall consider the pending applications seeking allotment of house site pattas, including of the persons for whom this public interest litigation (PIL) has been filed within a period of four months from today. In view of the statement made by Sri D. Ramesh, learned counsel for the petitioner does not press this PIL. PIL is disposed of as not pressed. It is needless to mention that the concerned authority shall consider all pending applications for allotment of house site pattas, strictly on merits in accordance with law.
