In this petition filed under Section 482 of Cr.P.C., the petitioner-accused seeks to quash the proceedings in C.C.No. 575 of 2014 on the file of the Court of Judicial Magistrate of I Class at Kalwakurthy registered for the offence punishable under Section 379 of IPC.

When the matter came up for hearing, learned Public Prosecutor has produced the letter dated 10-07-2018 of Sub Inspector of Police, Kodair Police Station, Nagarkurnool District, and submitted that the case was compromised before Lok Adalat on 27-10-2017 and therefore, the petition, which is filed to quash the proceedings in C.C.No. 575 of 2014, has become infructuous and hence, the same may be dismissed. 3.

In view of the above submission of learned Public Prosecutor, the criminal petition is dismissed as infructuous. Pending miscellaneous petitions, if any, shall stand dismissed in consequence.
